The Financial Review course is designed to provide a summary of the base level financial situation of an elder or elder couple. This tool is extremely valuable when trying to evaluate basic life style and living options as people age. Knowing what assets and income is available helps position appropriately in decision-making.
Key areas to be covered:

• Identifying cash-on-hand: How much is there? Where is it?
• Identifying income flow and sources.
• Creating a summary of assets, both liquid and non-liquid.
• Creating a current expense summary.
• Creating a complete summary of financial position for use in all future planning. This information is required to make intelligent decisions regarding affordability of housing options, as well as future financial, tax, estate and investment plans.
• Assisting the family in open discussion of financial affairs.
